I live on a military base so yellow cab is the easiest way on and off post. The last 2 times I've used them it's been a 2-3 hour wait. This time when I called I was told none of the drivers would take the call. I don't understand how it's an option to not pick someone up

We’ve used this company before and it’s been so-so. When we initially made the reservation, the dispatcher was friendly and helpful. Fast forward to the morning of the pick-up, I didn’t received the “Your driver is on their way” text which led me to call the dispatcher. She was rather rude but informed me that the driver was dropping someone off and I would be next. 45 minutes pass by, and the driver still hasn’t arrived. Because of their lateness, I ended up missing the flight. I would not recommend or use this service in the future.

I’ve tried to use yellow cab for three weekends in a row and this is my experience. The first two weekends I called for a pickup and it rang with no answer. I actually stayed in the phone for 2 hrs one time just to see. This was a Saturday. This weekend call and get an answer. Say I’d like a ride from torch gym to the golf course. Order goes in and I waited over an hour with no response. They see that my drop off isn’t near their major hub (even though it’s less then 3 miles away) and nobody accepts the ride. Which also show me that if I can’t get a ride from the troop store how long would it take to get picked up from the golf course? The drivers only do stops at main areas. They make you wait and pack the cars and do mass drops to get paid more. They are typically rude and disrespectful. That’s it plain and simple. If you’re not going to dfac one or the px it is almost impossible to get a ride here. They need to get more uber drivers passes on base because you can’t travel anywhere here. It is the worst transportation I’ve seen on any base I have been.

Genuinely one of the most unreliable companies ive ever had the displeasure of relying on while stationed in Ft. Eisenhower. The drivers are picky and will pass you by if you are simply going for a brief trip, worsened by the fact that the service is horrifically slow, with the phone oftentimes going unanswered. There have been times where we've been told the wait time will be 30 mins, cut to almost 2 hours later, we would still be waiting. For all AIT troops relying on cabs to get you anywhere, make sure you got good walking shoes on.

I don't normally like to be harsh, but i can't not when Yellow Cab makes it so difficult to be nice. Since i've started using them, i've had multiple hour long wait times, which for getting to and from work is incredibly annoying, because i either miss multiple hours of work and have to burn my PTO to make up for it, have to stay multiple hours after my shift is done to make up time, or in the case of a few weeks ago, the cab just didn't show up at all despite multiple calls, so i missed an entire work shift over it. That's not even to mention the routine, 2-4 hour wait time AFTER work that was the norm for the longest time. At this point, my time is better spent either walking or biking where I need to go instead of hoping that the cab i ordered actually showed up, like i'm doing today. Now i get to ride through the rain and possible storm twice so i can go to work. Thanks Yellow Cab!
