I paid to have my mailbox re-keyed on February 8, 2025. I should have known there would be a problem when the cashier told me that some people had been waiting since November 2024 to get their keys. After multiple service requests regarding still not having access to my mailbox, face to face conversations with someone who said they were the supervisor, countless phone calls that went unanswered and having my requests escalated to OIG and CAO, today I finally received my keys. It took 5 months!! The only reason I finally received my keys was because of Cheryl from the Consumer Affairs Office in Atlanta. She did not stop contacting the Forrest Hills post office and higher ups until they told her that my keys were ready. My situation is one of the reasons why this specific post office has atrocious reviews. I have lived in this city almost my entire life, but never have I had to deal with a post office that operates so poorly. On a final note, get someone to clean up that nasty place. The inside of the post office is filthy from the floor to the ceiling.

The man Jeff should not be working the counter at all I watched him help several people and belittling people is not the way to go. I had to help my elderly father return a package and didn't know the process and when we went over to the library the lady told me how bad he really is and knew exactly who it was without even saying his name. That's horrible. Do better

Waited 45 minutes to get told my package was never in the building. Which doesn't make any sense to me because I called the usps customer number and they said the last my package had been scanned was Sunday at this post office facility, and hasn't been scanned again, so my package is there. When I got there, the teller asked me to wait to get help and she proceeded to help about 12 other people. Which is fine but I literally had to wait an hour to be helped, even though I got there first. Apparently the Martinez post office tried delivering my package and when they couldn't deliver it they sent it back to atlanta. Which also doesn't make sense because it didnt come from atlanta and the LAST time the package was scanned was at THIS post office, not the Martinez post office. And why would the package get sent back to atlanta and not get returned to the post office??? How is the package in Atlanta but my tracking ID says the package is in this post office?? The math ain't mathing and I had to wait an hour for to be told someone else messed it up and I'd have to wait a couple of more days to get my package back from atlanta. The carrier claimed to not have access to my front door but the truth is the carrier didnt want to drop it off at my door because I live in an apartment complex and the leasing office is closed. What's even more frustrating, is that my apartment complex should have their mailboxes up and available, but they aren't because this post office has put their mail order on backorder for 3 months. Whoever is in charge needs to be replaced asap as I see these ratings go back to covid era. SUPER WILD

These people are very incompetent at their jobs. They also for some reason are allergic to having more than one person at the desk helping people for longer than a couple interactions. I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt but I’ve been to multiple other busy post offices that did not experience these same issues. I only go to this one because it’s right down the road from me, but drilling barbed wire into my head would be a less painful experience than needing to ship something with tracking at this location. Completely unacceptable.

I should have taken the 1.8-star rating as a warning because my experience was just as terrible as everyone else's. As someone who frequently visits the post office for work, I've never been spoken to as condescendingly as I was at this location. I regret not noting the employee's name to file a formal complaint with the manager. Thankfully, our company uses other USPS locations, so I won’t have to deal with this one again. Don't make the same mistake I did!
