The Willcox Restaurant

We always have dinners for special occasions at the Wilcox. The service and atmosphere is excellent. The old hotel is charming especially if you sit in the lobby. Try the Wilcox Gin and Tonic. Don’t be afraid that it is a little purple. It’s meant to be that way. The food is good but could be a little better. Same with the service. It is higher end but they could use just a bit more training. All in all…. I would go if you are in the Aiken area. It is firmly on the Aiken bucket list.

A lovely dinner at the Willcox. We have been a few times, and the Sixty South Salmon never disappoints. A nice environment with friendly staff. The only downside was the black truffle gratin that came with the fillet. My spouse said it was good but underseasoned (only item not eaten). This place is an absolute treasure. I had their soup of the day (chicken corn chowder, which had a nice seasoning level and a bit of a welcome and pleasant spice, possibly from paprika but I’m not certain), their burrata salad with heirloom tomatoes and prosciutto di parma, their chicken liver pate, and their espresso martini. The espresso martini is the best I’ve ever had and all of the food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the Willcox.

June 2025 - party of 6. Service was impeccable! Really appreciated that we never once felt rushed or as though we were being an inconvenience. The food was incredible! Everything was beautifully presented and extremely delicious - not a single one of us had any complaints or negative comments! The crab cake may very well be the best I've ever had! The prices were also very reasonable considering the quality. I would not hesitate to make reservations here again!

Best restaurant in Aiken with amazing service. Great cocktails. Full bar with an excellent bourbon selection and decent wine list. Cuisine is elevated with excellent flavors and presentations. Dog friendly as long as they're well behaved. Southern casual dress code- slacks and collared shirt with jacket preferred but not required.
