The Claiborne at Westlake

With experience over a two-year period, I must say that the staff members at The Claiborne at Westlake are absolutely wonderful and caring. Jill, the Assistant Activities director in particular, is a real asset to the staff. She is caring, engaged and is a lot of fun. Her interaction with the residents shows compassion, empathy and a strong desire to make everyone enjoy their days at The Claiborne. She also goes out of her way to make sure each resident feels valuable and many times she expends 110% effort to ensure successful activities that are fun and enjoyable. All the residents appreciate her warm smiles and the twinkle in her eyes. Jill is one-of-a-kind. Thank you Jill!

FABULOUS is the best way to describe my experience touring this establishment. From the friendly staff to all of the wonderful amenities offered for their seniors, it was nothing short of spectacular. However, I must say that the BEST part of my tour was meeting the hairdresser, Kim Thacker! She has the most contagious personality and made me feel right at home. From the salon decor to the woman behind the chair, Kim Thacker is the #1 reason to come to the Claiborne! 100000000/10, 5 stars does not even begin to cover her!

We appreciate the care & kindness my mother has received in the Memory Care facility here at The Claiborne at West Lake. "Miss Lee" has been here for 7 years now and recently has been confined to a wheelcchair after having broken her femur and at 93 she had surgery for a rod placement. It takes great patience and teamwork on everyone's part to manage the nuances of a memory care unit. I wanted to mention that over the years i have seen for myself how excited my mom gets when she goes up thr stairs for her appointment with Kim Thacker!!! I would see my mom smiling with those big blue eyes just knowing she was going to get her hair done....no matter that my mom would many times put her beanie or red hat on shortly after she returned to her area. Kim always made the trip to see her on her birthday, very special. Kim went above & beyond, even providing birthday banners and coming down for birthday cake. My family is fortunate to have all of you there for her. Thank You

My mom as a resident at the Claiborne loved having her hair styled at the salon with Kim Thacker. She so looked forward to spending time with Kim who treated mom like a queen. She always left the salon looking like a Hollywood star! How she looked was special, but how she felt was the most wonderful experience! Thank you Kim for being so kind! Andrea 🤍

There are many fine staff members at Claiborne, but none better than Kim Thacker. She has been taking excellent care of my Mom for three years now, keeping her hair looking great and looking after her welfare. Mom enjoys her time with Kim each week and always leaves the salon with a smile on her face. Kim treats her customers with respect and kindness, as if they were her own family members. Her outgoing personality makes her a delight to be around. My Mom and Dad have been at Claiborne for over 3 years. During that time, we have been blessed to have Gail Bing as a caregiver and friend. Gail is a comforting presence during difficult times. Her upbeat personality and joyful attitude instill confidence. We are grateful for many people at Claiborne, but none more so than Gail. James Marshall has been looking out for my parents at Claiborne for over 3 years now. Whatever the problem, James is willing and able to handle it. His cheerful personality and smiling face are a joy to all who come in contact with him. No task is too big or too small for James. We are grateful for his help and look forward to seeing him every time we visit.
