Staybridge Suites Augusta by IHG

Last night checked in and the lady at the desk was nice she was quick and informative! This morning go to get breakfast, we have a large family, five children! Instead of bringing everyone down for breakfast we typically just go get breakfast and bring it up to the room, less hassle. When we went to look for paper plates was told you have to go to your own room and get your plates to get food to take back to your room. Came back to the room and grabbed the bowls the hotel provides, go back down to get food, immediately the same woman then says you have to put the food on our plate first then put it in your bowl. When my husband responded “ doesn’t make any sense” she said “ it’s the health departments rules, we don’t know where those bowls came from”. Immediately she was informed the bowls are theirs that they provided. It was nothing but attitude and her giving a hard time when it was not needed.

Service was good and consistent. Check-in process was smooth & my room was clean. This Hotel offers an Evening Social Mon-Fri in which they serve appetizers and refreshing drinks, Which was beyond my expectations! shoutout to the Food & Beverage Managers Mr. Orlando, Ms. Sandra.

I dislike giving crappie reviews but this hotel is simply just disgusting. Every existing crevice has built up grime consisting of who knows what 🤢 Phone buttons, phone speaker, lamp outlets, wall outlets, remote all of it is just so incredibly gross. Please be advised, I'm not OCD and my vision isn't the greatest, so I wasn't out looking for these issues - they are the entire room. Absolutely, positively NOT worth the money, go anywhere else.

The hotel itself is amazing me and my 5 children were displaced because of hurricane Helena and was given the option to stay at this location worse choice ever because the service we received was nonexistent we have been here for a week now and haven’t received any room service and when my fifteen year old daughter asked for some tissue paper she was told that we were needy I guess because I was asking for supplies to clean my room myself. Today we walked to a pool to go swimming and as we arrived stopped by the ice machine and we all got water the owner called gema and told them he wanted us to leave because I had on a bathing suite mind you he also came and asked me what room we were in and never said anything to me about it I was told that this hotel haven’t had this many African Americans stay here and I can definitely feel the prejudice with the stress of everything that is going on already it’s giving me emotional anxiety and distress I wouldn’t wish this on anyone else Update This is definitely not a template after seeing what the owner responded with After writing this review I was informed the next morning that I should leave the property by 11 am now me and my children are this place and going through emotional terminal thanks to this unprofessional Non-compassionate Defaming hotel

Ride waitresses during breakfast time. They are mot welcoming. They whisper and giggle about you while in your face which is disrespectful. Other than that, the ladies at the desk are wonderful and very inviting and respectful. Rooms are very spacious with just needed an updated remodel.
