Sheraton Augusta Hotel

While the hotel is undergoing renovation, the overall the experience is very nice. The staff is very friendly and the hotel lobby is very nice. I had club level privileges so I had free breakfast and access to the lounge. The appetizers and drink selections in the lounge were very good during the time it was open which is around around 5 PM. And they had good Breakfast options in the morning. Our room was clean and recently updated; the beds were comfortable. The hotel has a bar open till 11 PM and a restaurant which is open till 10 PM. We were happy with the selections at both. There are area's of the hotel that are dated, but I think it gives the hotel character, but nothing that took away from our hotel experience. The only real negative would be that the indoor pool is currently out of service. We would definitely stay here again.

The pool was shut down for chemical treatment during our entire stay so we had some very disappointed kiddos. Our room was newly renovated but the bathroom door would not close and the bathtub was not clean. Also, our hallway smelled like Marijuana despite signs everywhere that smoking violators would be fined. 🤷‍♀️ The staff, at least, was friendly and upgraded us for our inconvenience.

If I could put zero stars, then I definitely would. Please keep in mind as I tell the story that I am a titanium member with Marriott. I stay over 100 nights a year and spend over $25,000 a year with these people which is what most people only make in a year. I love Marriott and I’ve never had an issue like this Now onto my review: If you are checking into this hotel, please be aware that they have problems with their system and their mobile check-in proces. so once you swipe your card with them depending on what type of card do you have they will overcharge you. Please keep in mind. I used a major bank card, not a visa.I was overcharged at check-in, which wasn’t really that big of a deal because I knew that they were going to give the money back eventually. 3 days after I left the hotel my Card was charged over 15 times In the middle of the night, I came up to the hotel to ask them about the situation and the lady yelled at me and told me that she wouldn’t be giving me a receipt because I’m “lying”. Mind you, I came with my bank statement statements on paper and On my phone so that she could see the charges that I was talking about. She didn’t even wanna look at the papers or my phone. She ended up calling the police because I told her I was not leaving without the receipt. She lied to the police and told them that I was hostile and that she feared I had a weapon (Another sidenote I had on a mini skirt with no bags or purses just my phone and my papers in my hand so what weapon do you speak of?) The police had to forcefully get my receipt from her. The police told me that this would be a civil matter and that I would have to take them to court if I wanted a better outcome or if my bank didn’t give me my money back. When I got the receipt It had writing all over it, making it invalid. Luckily, I recorded the entire situation and I sent the recording to my bank and was able to get my money back. The rooms are modern and comfortable. The staff made a point to greet me each time I entered the lobby, which was a nice touch and made me feel welcomed. My only complaint is that, as someone who has priority late check-out on my account, when I inquired, I was offered a 30 minute extension to my regular check-out time, which didn’t feel like a real benefit.

My husband and I have a great stay at the Sheraton the service was great from the front desk to house keeping everyone was helpful and nice . the rooms were also very clean. We were in town for a party so we didn’t get the chance to check out the restaurant/bar If we are ever in the area we would visit again.
