Sharkey's Cuts for Kids

We had such a great experience at Sharkey’s of Martinez today! Palakh did an amazing job cutting my son, daughter, and husband’s hair — and somehow made the whole process smooth and enjoyable for everyone. She was so patient and sweet with the kids. She even double Dutch braided my daughter’s hair and added the most adorable bows — my daughter couldn’t stop smiling! My son’s cut was clean and stylish, and my husband was seriously impressed with his as well. The salon is clean, kid-friendly, and welcoming. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you, Palakh!

Our four year old daughter was in need of a hair cut and we wanted her first experience to be memorable and Miss Tiffany did just that. She is absolutely amazing and treated our daughter like royalty. We could no have been happier. It's an amazing business and we will definitely be back. Thanks again.

My 18 month old got his hair cut for the first time today. Tiffany was fantastic and was so patient & helpful all through his tears. We’ll definitely be back!

Due to this being an environment filled with children at the time of my visit- I didn’t react/respond as I felt. I am rating the Customer Experience as Poor and I won't be returning. The reviews brought me here, the top performer "looked" like they would have been a good fit for my child, but my experience definitely didn't match what I read. I've been to other locations with this same kid-friendly setup but how "MY" child was handled versus the child you were working with as I waited was obviously different. I had to introduce myself to you, there was no "prep" on my child's textured hair, just pulled out the clippers and started running through it. As I said this isn't his first haircut and knowing how (2) other female stylist cut his hair, you would have thought you never touched a textured child's hair. Even at the end of the service, my child was provided no hair products, I had to ask if you even used products after a cut, but you shortly said- "I have oil", like excuse me, that's it?? I declined and left with my child. This review is directly for Tiffany- you should be ashamed and considering your client base, this review will just be ignored and you will continue to be your best for everyone else. Good Day~

Staff was very friendly except the woman who messed up my child’s hair. My children loved that they could play Xbox while getting their hair cut. My one child got sides and back faded Tiffany did well not as good as many barbers that cut coily hair but I was satisfied for a regular haircut fee not expecting it to cost way more than a barber shop. My second child with straight hair had another woman cut his hair. She didn’t even pay attention to what I asked her to do. I seen what she was doing and his hair was all messed up. She honestly was clueless how to cut hair. By that time she cut the top all choppy and way to short for the cut I wanted. she cut his bangs super short and very crooked. Tiffany tried her best to correct the other lady’s mess up but to no avail. It looked half way decent when I left because he had super strong gel (gorilla snot), so I couldn’t see how uneven or messed up it was, it just looked partially bad. I still offered to pay full price because another person stepped in to try to fix it. So I paid $63 for a basic haircut (not faded well) but rest looked good, and 1 jacked up haircut.
