Scott Rice, DO

My visit with Dr.Rice and staff was wonderful. He is very professional, knowledgeable, and kind. They signed me in and waiting wasn't that long of a wait before seeing Dr. RICE. I'M glad he's my doctor and I trust Dr. Rice with my care as his patient. That's very important to me. A Big thank you to Dr Rice and his staff.

Glad to see masked under all these reviews here are people that have seen through Dr. Rice as well. I have never been so disrespected by someone in the medical profession as I was today. It seems as though Dr. Rice doesn’t approve when you ask questions. I guess he needs to feel like he is smarter and has more power. My daughter has been fighting issues for 2 years now, Yet to be diagnosed. I simply suggested we think outside the box because sometimes the diagnosis doesn’t always fit the cookie cutter box that it does for someone else. He proceeded to get angry offended and when I said I was just advocating for my daughter and he would do the same if it was his child. He then proceeded with “don’t tell me what I would do with my child! “Like really? A good doctor listens more than they talk. Just because something doesn’t seem relevant or important to you doesn’t mean it won’t be to one of those specialists you send us to since nothing seems to be done in house. He seems to be a man that doesn’t like questioned or made to feel he doesn’t know it all. I never once questioned his knowledge just simply a mom trying to find answers for her daughter. Happy for the ones who didn’t experience this but I can see many people have. Just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should! Healthcare needs people who are curious, like to solve problems that don’t have answers that slap you in the face, someone who genuinely cares about there patient. If that is what you are looking for I promise you Dr. Rice isn’t the one. He is the complete opposite. Arrogant to say the least! Explain to me how it’s allowed for someone to have such poor bedside manner and yet still have a job, still be allowed to treat patients . The sad thing is I know this post won’t go anywhere which is why Dr. Rice feels he can treat people however he sees fit. Thanks to Dr Rice I'm not apprehensive about my doctor visits anymore. He listens and he is very knowledgeable. I like that he takes care of his patients even on Prompt Care visits. I love Dr Rice's good nature. Everyone at Piedmont is kind, respectful and efficient.

Of all the physicians and specialists I've met with over the years, Dr. Rice is one of the best! He has a way of putting you at ease and expediting any discomforts one might encounter at an appointment. He engages in active listening and addresses each concern individually. He truly is a rare find in the healthcare industry. 10/10

Dr. Rice is awesome. Also, the office staff and nurses are nice and friendly. He definitely made sure to listen to all my concerns and he obviously knows his stuff. He gets straight down to business! He is upfront, but in a good way! You can tell he cares about his patients. For someone who’s never established on-going care with a PCP until now, I’m glad to have found him.
