Mark's training is excellent. Our dog (Dunker) comes from a good line, but Mark's training made him an extremely capable field dog. Dunker needed a few extra weeks of training than originally anticipated, but Mark communicated that with us and we're glad he stayed. On average, Dunker finds 21 out of 25 birds in the field (we go to a hunting club so we know how many birds are out). He's worked on some very windy days and doesn't perform any less than he does in perfect weather. He was only about 6 months when we sent him for training, and about 10 months when he started hunting after finishing training. Mark is clearly very knowledgeable. His training is well worth the investment and leaves little to be desired. He was easy to reach out to during the training process. We don't hesitate to recommend Mark and Sarasetter Kennels to others looking for training.

Mark has been a great teacher to me. My dogs have always been naturally great at hunt... Mark helped me catch up to their natural instincts and showed me how to guide them towards their best selves. I have taken numerous Bracchi Italiani to him over the years. They hunt differently than most pointers... softer and often favoring their relationship with their humans and wanting to please. So, a soft hand and positive reinforcement is necessary. They have aversion to harsh correction and constant whistle blowing. I had been through several trainers before Mark who nearly ruined my dogs. Mark can instantly read a dog and the way it will learn. I have been incredibly grateful that he took me as a student. He has not only guided me in how to do hunt work with my dogs, but also has guided me in raising quail, taught me about controlled burning, and helped me in plant identification. To myself, like so many others over the years, Mark has become not only a teacher but a cherished friend. I confidently give him the highest rating possible. You are indeed fortunate if he is willing to take you and/or your pup under his expert wing.

Mark is one of my mentors , I spent a few weeks training dogs with him some years ago , Mark has a gentle way with dogs always calm and patient very knowledgeable and open minded. He has a genuine love for dogs and he is always upbeat and positive with them. look no further if you want a well trained happy bird dog.
