My bride and myself have both been solid fans and appreciate the professionalism of Preeti R. Poley MD and her staff for close to 9 years now... Her organization, in both Waynesboro and Augusta/Martinez ... is top notch, effective, responsive to patient needs, empathetic and clinically solid. You will find her group and team to be the same for yourself. Excellent clinical and medical skills, informed, leading edge medically - she is very much a professional in her chosen field of medicine. You will find Dr. Poley sets the standard for high end ophthalmological medical doctors, surgeons, and care givers. She remains at the top of her game, has state of the art diagnostics equipment, and we have come to appreciate her as a medical doctor and is a trusted person. She is someone who's advice you can trust, takes her work hyper-seriously and his vigilant, forward looking. If you pass on this team, you are doing yourself a major disservice. So glad she opened up in Augusta too!! She and her team are some of the hardest working people we know, 24/7. Vision is nothing to take for granted!! I honestly would not recommend this place! There overpriced and treatment only helps temporarily! My mother went in having issues being recommended from her eye doctor. She had a tear in her retina, so they recommended her get the shots. When we spoke about treatment they said she would get two shots in each eye which were $500 each at every appointment. Then she was going to get laser eye surgery one in each eye, which was $1000 for each eye. When she got the shots she tells my mom let me know if I’m hurting you, my mom lets her know and she continues to hurt her more! When she got the laser surgery it was the same thing! If shes in a bad mood she doesn’t care if she hurts her patients! When my mom went to get the laser they just sent her out like nothing, I asked if they had given her post op instructions she said no, I asked the receptionist and they were like no you can do anything. We go back to do the last laser eye surgery and my mom comes out telling me that she has to come back two more times for the laser, but that wasn’t discussed in treatment and when we asked why they just told us because the doctor said! We told them it was too much money and we couldn’t, then after each appointment we paid, we got a bill stating my mom owed $8,000, we called and they just said it was a mistake. We told them we were just going to go one more time and that was it, because its too much money everytime. But a week ago my mom became blind in one eye again! Now there saying just to talk to the doctor she has to pay $400. Honestly this is a very unprofessional establishment and overpriced! And clearly the treatment doesn’t help! I doubt there will be a end to this, she’s not helping my mom but temporarily. Don’t waste your money here like we did!

I have been under the care of another retina specialist for over 15 years and have had countless surgeries. I dreaded going to those appointments. The appointments took over three hours, and there was no compassion from the doctor. I was not improving and was losing my sight. Dr. Poley was recommended to me by Dr. Casey Roland, and I went for a second opinion with Dr. Poley. I learned more in my first appointment than I had in the last 15 years. She listened to me, my fears, and my concerns. She started me on an aggressive shot regimen for my macular degeneration. I am very thankful to say that after my third shot my vision has improved. In response to April down below please let's educate what a retina tear is and what it can do to save your vision. Also if your going to bash a place of business then why go through with it to begin with. People get scared and they are nervous with any procedures its a given.I have worked with retina doctors along time. I wasn't present but when someone at least is trying to save your eye from a full blown retinal detachment let your Google reviewers know that much. Hope you are getting better.
