RCBOE Transportation Department

I really h– this school system and their unreliable school transportation. Beware if you move here. Everyone is UNORGANIZED and fail to communicate effectively– the schools, the transportation system.. they also give you a time to be at the stop which is a hit or miss. I’ve never been in a county like this. Richmond County has to do better. THE SCHOOLS ARENT ANY BETTER. Where is the superintendent or higher ups? Do they not listen/hear the complaints? It’s best to choose another county to live in, if you have children in school. Another update 09/24: My kids were literally heading to the bus stop and the driver pulled off. She let one kid on and literally left my kids as they were walking up to the bus. I called dispatch and was told the bus won’t be back due to short staffed. Wasn’t even a minute after she pulled off that I called and she couldn’t make a quick turn around? Then the other parent was trying to honk her down for me… I am so sick of this county and can’t to escape this place.

RCBOE TRANSPORTATION DISPATCH IS BS. THEY DO NOT COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY. BUS 546 ROUTE 730 THE LADY DO NOT STOP IN THE MORNING SHE HAS LEFT SEVERAL STUDENTS IN THE RAIN. SHE DOESN'T COME ON TIME SOME TIMES NOT AT ALL OR LATE AS HELL. IT'S UNACCEPTABLE ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. WE NOT EVEN HALFWAY THROUGH THE SCHOOL YEAR

I’m definitely not one to write reviews, however, I’m so upset that I too would like to add to the Many reviews here that explain how TERRIBLE this place is! There is NEVER a schedule for pick up or drop off, they will tell you times and then proceed to not abide by them! They will also lie directly to your face and say the Bus stopped at your house and won’t come back. When clearly I have driveway cameras showing the bus ride right by my house. They will drop your kids off at 6:30/7:00pm then call the following day saying they apologize for the delay! And the one excuse they have… there is a driver shortage.. this is a complete failure to our children and community.. and to have this many reviews in this manner and nothing be done shows exactly why people leave Richmond County for Columbia County!

Driver can't seem to show up on time. We're not talking about 2 or three minutes, it's 30. Driver also can't seem to stay awake while driving. Now that's a problem. When my child gets home and asks me what she should do when her bus driver falls asleep at the wheel again, that's a concern. When my child is 20 minutes late to her school almost every day, that's a problem. The bus is filthy, in obvious disrepair, and driven by a person who can't manage to stay awake. Seems a lawsuit may be in order. Hopefully before this driver causes a fatal accident. Trying to discuss the issue with anyone at this company seems futile. Seems pretty negligent to me honestly.

If I can vote zero stars I would. Inconsistent. I can’t wait to move back to Columbia county.
