Publix Super Market at National Plaza

I go into this Publix location all the time. The store is immaculate and organized. It is a true pleasure to go into the entire store, especially the bakery. The employees are always so nice and helpful! I just love Publix and how they take so much pride in how they keep the store and how they they take care of the packaged foods, non packaged foods, the fruits, vegetables, everything. To me Publix is the epitome of what other grocery stores strive to be!

I sent my husband to order our babies smash cake. He showed them the photo I wanted (I’ll attach it) and they acted like it was to difficult. Talking about it’s a “custom cake” and it would be expensive. Okayyyy not an issue. But then all of a sudden their baker wasn’t going to be there the to make it on the date we needed (June 29th). Went to Walmart today and placed the order with absolutely no issue! It was clear Publix didn’t want to make our cake for whatever reason but that’s okay, Walmart is gonna make it for $14.99🥰 If you don’t wanna make cakes ladies, find another job!

I’ve been coming to this Publix for years because it’s the nearest one but it has the worse deli of all of them I prefer to drive 15 minutes away to get something quicker. Yet always give this one a chance to see if anything has improved. They have no regards for your time so be prepared to always wait 30-40 minutes on your sandwich. Staff will do everything else but worry about the customers. Make stuff for the shelf’s, restock, talk and gossip, etc… just everything else but making the subs. Ordering mobile doesn’t help either because the orders aren’t made so you have to wait in line just like anyone else even if you placed it 30 minutes earlier which defeats the purpose.

It never fails this location never ever ever has enough people in the deli. Why did it take one person 30 mins to make 2 BASIC sandwiches and the other almost 30 to make 3 wraps? I’m always trying to be understanding of the person - maybe the day they are having, or whatever but this is EVERY time we come here. When I am here it’s always 30 mins or more to even get to the counter to order, so i always have to put my basket on the floor. It’s insane. Do better or more of us are going to start driving further to better locations.
