Precision Tune Auto Care

As of 24 June 2025, I do not have confidence that a suspected oil filter defect is going to be taken seriously by precision tune and auto care. The oil filter failed one month after it was installed by this shop. It failed which resulted in bottomed out oil pressure while our entire family was in the vehicle towing a light trailer. The vehicle now has metal shavings circulating in the engine likely as a result of that oil starvation causing top end damage. Even though I correctly identified the oil filter as failing and brought the failed oil filter back, I have been getting the runaround on when/where the filter will be examined and the way ahead. I'm honestly tired of what appears to be a dedicated effort to deflect away from the oil filter even though a new oil filter restored oil pressure to normal. Bottom line up front, I don't believe they plan to honor a warranty for the parts installed. I likely will need to seek the assistance of an attorney that specializes in consumer fraud, product defect liability, and unfair/dishonest business practices in order to get any resolution on this issue. It's not the route I want to go, but it's quickly seeming like it's the direction I will have to go. I have to do what's right. That vehicle was fine after they repaired it the first time. It didn't have any more issues until the oil filter stopped working right.

They have excellent service, precision tune, have reasonable prices, tell you the price up front, if something else is needed they will let you know and will not pressure you. I walked in this location to see if anyone was available to replace my headlight. I walk in and the lady ( I can’t recall her name) in the room behind the desk, sees me and immediately shuts the door. 15 minutes later, she informs me that they don’t take customers after 3:30 but a customer just dropped off their car. Long story short, this employee needs customer service training/ retraining. All of our money is green.
