Pigtails & Crewcuts: Haircuts for Kids - Evans, GA

Looking at the reviews, we were really excited to take our son here for a first haircut. I feel like the hairdresser did a good job on the front of his hair, but the sides were so bad. I will say, my son got upset when the clippers were pulled out so she had me hold him for her, but I still don’t see how it turned out so bad on the sides.. It’s like a huge chunk was just taken off and there are still some long strands hanging down on the side and in the back. She was nice, but did not seem excited to be doing his hair and the atmosphere just didn’t seem super welcoming. I didn’t really notice how bad it was until we had already left and were eating dinner last night… with a tip I paid around $46 and I just feel super sad about it. What we paid for the service reallly stinks, but it’s more upsetting for me that this was his first haircut and I was so excited.. 😕

Sam did amazing with my sensory sensitive son! He absolutely hates for his hair and head to be touched and haircuts have always resulted in meltdowns and patchy shaved heads. This was the first time he ever sat through a haircut without screaming or crying and he actually got a good looking cut this time! Sam was so so patient and kind with him and talked him through everything she was doing so he wasn't so anxious. She is great at her job! We will definitely be back to see her.

Absolutely horrible experience! We've used this location since they opened. Our previous stylist is no longer there so we were given to Peggy to do my 4 year old son. From the beginning she had a sarcastic attitude when we described how we wanted his hair cut. Two minutes in she stated that if he couldn't be still, we would have to come back. She acted terrified of small children and was not able to deal with the situation at all. I was holding him (38 weeks pregnant) while he screamed and she butchered his hair before I finally told her to stop touching my child. Rhonda did a great job trying to remedy the situation but unfortunately his hair was already pretty messed up and the emotional damage had been done. Will not be returning to this location.

The best place around for your child's haircut. We have a son that doesn’t do well at all getting his hair cut. We tried so many places around the CSRA and they all ended up with him screaming. At pigtails & crewcuts, he sits well for them and leaves happy. We will always come here for his cut.

We have been coming to this location for years, and have had great haircuts with Sara and Samantha. Unfortunately, the experience today will probably be our last. I made an appointment for my son almost 2 weeks ago for today at 5:00pm. I received a confirmation email the other day and confirmed my appointment. Today, I got a missed call from the salon, but no voicemail. Around 3pm, I got another confirmation for my appointment. This salon is 45 minutes from our house, so we made the drive, only to show up and find out our stylist is not there. Rhonda was there and explained that our stylist “is not here, hasn’t been here, and we don’t know when she will be back, but I tried to call you”. I told her I had a missed call, but no voicemail, no follow up text, no second call, and even received a second confirmation at 3pm TODAY! The schedule was not blocked off showing she was unavailable, and to drive 45 min for my son’s haircut with 0 courtesy is ridiculous.
