My daughter came for a visit and we decided to take a ride on the Patriot riverboat and we really had a nice time,the captain was very well educated about the area and gave us a lot of history about Augusta and how certain things came to be,it was a very good educational trip and the scenery was great,Thank you Captain for a good trip

I had a very disappointing experience with Patriot River Boat Tours in Augusta, Georgia. The operator was not only rude but also shared multiple racist stories, which made the tour extremely uncomfortable. This behavior is completely unacceptable, and it ruined what should have been an enjoyable outing. I do not recommend this tour to anyone looking for a respectful and pleasant experience.

This was so disappointing. We set out for a family reunion boat ride. Amongst the captain’s problematic statements: “Lincoln was the biggest racist in history of America. So take all your pictures of Lincoln down at your house. Nigeria comes from Lincoln sending all the slaves over there.” [I assume he meant Liberia, but neither here nor there] “There were more white slaves than black slaves in America” “GOLF stands for Gentlemen Only Ladies Forbidden” “America’s first terrorist was General Sherman” “The Spaniards were the first people in America” Mind you, he said this all on a boat full of black people. I shudder to think what he must say when his passengers are white. We were along for a fun boat ride. We didn’t sign up to be barraged by his lunacy. When confronted that he should keep his views to himself he said, “I don’t care”.

I was considering this business, but it is absolutely crazy that the captain can cancel your private cruise at their discretion for any reason AND NOT REFUND ANY OF YOUR MONEY. If the captain gets COVID and can’t work, YOUR MONEY ISN’T REFUNDED. That is why they only take cash or business checks so you can dispute this ridiculous move with your credit card company. Negative stars.
