We absolutely adore Mrs. Karen! She's not just an equestrian instructor; she's like family to us. Isabella has been riding for 6 years now, and Mrs. Karen has been there every step of the way, guiding her with kindness, respect, and a genuine love for horses. Isabella's growth and confidence shine thanks to Mrs. Karen's nurturing approach and expert teaching. With Mrs. Karen's support, Isabella's passion for riding has flourished, making her time in the saddle truly magical. We're incredibly grateful for Mrs. Karen's positive influence on Isabella's equestrian journey. She's not just the best instructor; she's a true gem!

New Era Farm is the perfect place to take equestrian lessons at. Mrs. Karen teaches riders of all ages and skill levels. Not to mention, the property is gorgeous! No cancellations due to weather with the GIANT covered arena. There are beautiful grass arena, jumping field, and meandering trails for when the weather is nice. Mrs. Karen is focused on teaching her students about every aspect of being an equestrian and helping you become the best horse rider/partner you can. Mrs. Karen is the type of teacher that doesn't yell at you through out the entire lesson, but will give the push to reach your full potential. This farm cultivates strong friendships with other riders and creates a farm family where everyone is welcome. I found a farm willing to take an adult rider without a horse to be a rarity when I was trying to find a farm to learn at. Plus, I work shift and have a crazy schedule that can't support routine weekly riding at normal barn times. Mrs. Karen didn't bat an eyelash and she has been more than accommodating with my schedule.

Karen is an excellent riding instructor. She teaches students at all different levels & abilities. She is patient and always provides a positive learning experience. Her depth of knowledge in equitation, all different riding disciplines, equine history and the equine industry in general is outstanding. The horses at New Era are all well taken care of and never overworked. Should they have special needs, she is willing to invest in the best treatments available to address the issue. I would most definitely recommend New Era Farm.

I have been taking English riding lessons with Karen Jones at New Era Farm for about two years, and I have nothing but praise for her and for her facility! I am in my mid-sixties and had not been on a horse for over 30 years. I knew I would be starting from scratch, and despite being excited, I was quite nervous about getting back into it. From my first lesson I was certain I had made the right choice with Karen. Her passion, knowledge, and love for horses is apparent in every lesson. She made me confident that I was in good hands with her Safety-First focus and no-nonsense teaching methods. Her feedback is always clear and easy to understand, and she gently corrects rather than criticizing. She never pushes me too hard, but just hard enough so I feel truly challenged. To top it off, New Era Farm is a very casual and friendly place, with a family atmosphere that is extremely welcoming to newcomers and beginners of all ages. The way Karen interacts with children, and the way they respond to her, never fails to amaze me. Watching these youngsters grow and thrive under her tutelage is a joy to behold. There are a variety of lesson horses available for a range of experience levels, all of them well trained and well cared for. In every lesson the safety of the horse and rider is reinforced, and not just the horse you are riding. Students learn about horse behavior and how to comport ourselves to make sure that our actions do not endanger the safety of any horse, rider, or helper in the arena. For me, with my Italian heritage, that means that I cannot talk with my hands while around horses, which never occurred to me but makes perfect sense, I have felt a tremendous amount of improvement in my riding ability and my confidence since working with Karen, and I couldn't be happier with my results! Over the course of my training with her I have ridden four different horses, changing mounts as my skills increase. If you are looking for riding instructions, you do not hav...

My Granddaughter has been taking horse lessons at New Era Farms for the last 18 months. She knew nothing about riding, but with Ms. Karen's patience and knowledge, she can now tack up her horse and ride with confidence. She has a connection with the horses and other students that gives her happiness and joy. The covered arena is nice for those rainy spring days or hot summer days. Ms. Karen not only teaches horse riding, but responsibility and horse care in a very safe environment. I highly recommend New Era Farms. Patsy Hatcher
