Merit Flooring, Kitchen and Bath

Since we purchased our house many years ago, Merit's Flooring in Aiken has replaced all of the original flooring. In the last year, we contracted with Merit's to replace our living room flooring, as well as the runner on the staircase, and area rugs in the living room. The quality of materials, labor, and service is excellent. We love our updated flooring and trust this company. Merit vastly improved our kitchen, 2 1/2 baths and laundry room! Emily walked us through choosing all our new finishes and styles. She was a efficient and communicative project manager. Travis and Scottie were great on site managers. They all took it in stride when we added the laundry room. We also added new blinds to all the downstairs windows and Samantha was great to work with too. They all took our ideas and made them real.

Wow! What an outstanding job everyone with Merit Flooring in Aiken, SC did for the flooring needs in our home. We chose to replace all of our carpet with the laminate hardwood. John Haddon was the sales individual that we met with to obtain a quote for the job. There was absolutely no pressure and he guided us through the selection process very carefully. He was about as nice of a person as you could meet and treated the entire process so professionally from start to finish. He was always available to answer any questions we had and made us feel so comfortable with the process. The two installers, Tracy and Cory, were better than advertised - courteous, efficient, and very sensitive to the details of their work. They removed the carpet, undercut the doors, installed the flooring, base trim, and thresholds and moved our furniture and put it back with no problems. We were so impressed with how they were constantly cleaning up behind themselves as they moved from room to room so as to avoid a lot of dust and tracking of material throughout the house. We thought that they were terrific. Merit had the carpet I wanted. Someone came out to measure but never got back to me with a price or to set up the install. I called to follow up, and called, and called, and left messages. I mostly spoke with Courtney who told me she was leaving the messages for whoever came out to measure. After months of waiting and never hearing back, I went with a different shop who didn't carry the same carpet. It's sad because I didn't get what I wanted and Merit was the only place that had it. Not a good experience.
