What an amazing experience. Great museum dedicated to a pioneer in her own right for the sacrifices she made to educate young Black kids. When I got there, the museum was closed, but call the number on the front door, and a young lady will come and let you in. The military discount is $5.00. There's a 10-minute film that talks about her life and the many contributions she made in the education field. Must see if you're visiting Augusta

While the website listed it open on Mondays, it was initially closed when we arrived. However some of the staff saw us walking around the grounds and offered to open it up for us since we were visiting from out of town. Super informative source on a fascinating African American woman. Thank you to the staff. Above and beyond!

Absolutely fantastic museum. Beautifully maintained and well loved by staff. Fantastic events - a hidden gem in Augusta. In my opinion, far more valuable and enriching than its counterpart on Broad St

We recently arranged a field trip to see the museum, and more specifically, an installation of art work honoring women artists. The space was clean, elegant, warm, and inviting. The installation was amazing with beautiful artwork in several different styles. The artist talk by Rhian Swain was informative and inspirational. I'm looking forward to coming back for the full museum experience.

This was a great informative museum. Please check the times of the tours before going. We found the docent to be friendly, informative, and accommodating. The information we received was presented confidently and with pride. I would highly recommend visiting this house if you find yourself in Augusta!
