Kim's Martial Arts

I've been taking a sword class here for a year, and I can't say enough great things about it! The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and welcoming. Whether you're a complete beginner or have experience, they make sure everyone feels comfortable and challenged in the best way.

Kim’s Martial Arts is a truly wonderful place to be. The owners make sure everyone is encouraged and excited to start class. The instructors are incredibly patient and make sure that students know how to do Martial Arts in the correct manner while being tender in their teaching. Team classes are excellent in promoting disciplined students and an open learning atmosphere. Truly the perfect place for anyone looking to try out Martial Arts!

Master Kim is awesome with the kids!! It's amazing how he can remember everyone's name. My grandkids love it here. They are very family oriented. They take the time and patience to work with all of their students. They are very disciplined. I would highly recommend them.Master Kim is patient with the children and really takes each childs needs/technique and skills into consideration when working with them. This gives instruction a more personal feel. My grandchildren Audrey and Elijah have learned a great deal of confidence, patience, humility and pride through the practice of Tae Kwon Do. Granmaster Kim and Master Kim are awesome at acknowledging each childs progress. Mrs Kim is an awesome manager of the school and serves as a lynchpin for the organization and keeping the Families and children motivation, informed, and happy.I just read a review from someone stating that they would not recommend Kim's. I have two of my grandchildren at Kim's and would highly recommend them. The review stated no class orientation, schedule or student folder. They have a monthly schedule posted to everyone on their website for everyone to see. I have never witness anything this person stated in their review. All the class rules are posted on the board at Kim's and Mrs Kim goes over everything with new parents of students explaining everything. If they are not teaching the things this review states , then how are all the other young children and up able to do what this review says it not being done. Sounds like someone is just upset with someone at Kim's for some reason or another and is giving a bad review just out of anger. Again I highly recommend Kim's Martial Arts for any parent looking for a place to have their child train in the Martial Arts. They are Awesome with children and are very patient with all students.Check out their website available to all students and parents.

Kim's Martial Arts is phenomenal! We moved to South Carolina in 2024, and our daughter is a 2nd degree black belt in Taekwondo. We wanted to find a dojang that offered affordable pricing, and a dojang with smaller classes than the one in Texas we went to. We found our new taekwondo "home" at Kim's Martial Arts in Augusta! It is family run and the entire family is amazing! Plus you have Grand Master Kim there too. We love that Kim's also holds their students to a higher level. KMA is not a "black belt factory," and that is another reason why you should chose Kim's Martial Arts!

My children have tried several different martial arts schools, and Kim's is the first they have wanted to stick with. Master Kim and the Black Belt instructors are excellent with the kids. They are upfront about their pricing, and they don't make you sign a long term contract! In addition to Tae Kwon Do, they offer Korean Sword and Archery class. This is a completely separate martial art, not just an add on ti Tae Kwno Do. If you are looking for a martial arts school for adults or children, definitely check Kim's out. If you are looking for something unique, definitely check out the Korean Sword and Archery class.
