Horrible customer service. If you can get away with not using them, don’t! They do not care about their customers and are extremely RUDE. They also won’t take a credit report that is an 800 within 10 days and want to pull it on their own despite theirs being a soft pull. People don’t want their credit pulled that care about their credit, and they do not care. You either pay $350 or let them run it. Their flippant attitudes are not something they should be acceptable. The supervisor is just as bad as the employee I spoke to. Good luck dealing with this lousy business!

We have not been notified at all about when our power will be restored. Georgia Power is at least saying by Friday. Please do better in advising your customers, we have not seen anything at about our power. I have been a loyal customer of Jefferson power for many years. Then before that my father and grandparents have been with you. We need updates, you should have already been contacting customers. Telling me we have outage is one thing, but how about letting us know when we can expect the power to be back on

I understand the storm messed things up but when you stop the work crew to ask for help as a disabled Veteran and explain that some of the houses have power they talk as if you are stupid about removing debris. There is no debris near my power lines but again the neighbors have power. But you are riding in the neighborhood doing nothing. Over priced trash company. I will be sending a letter to the white house sense I also retired from the government side. Keep collecting a check for not doing your job. But the right people will be investigating you. Do let people put your sign on their truck if all they do is ride around looking for women.

This company does not deserve the One Star rating required to write a review. JEC is a price-gouging company that takes advantage of its monopoly status to take advantage of its customers. If JEC denies this, explain why my July bill was almost 30% higher for that month when my family and I were out of the state for 3 weeks. JEC will not listen to customer concerns, even those who have paid thousands of dollars over the years. I pay my bill well before the due date. I've never been late and never missed a payment. I used JEC's third party website to make payment last month. The site reverted, for some reason, to an old payment account from a bank I no longer have. That is, the account doesn't exist. It's dead and has been dead for over a year. I submitted payment and immediately realized the mistake and went to correct it. There is no option to cancel or alter a payment on the site. Knowing I still owed them $706 for my monthly (let that sink in), I paid them from my actual, extant account. They accepted that payment. I then received an e-mail and a letter from JEC, stating that I owed a $30 returned check fee and that if I bounce checks with them again, they won't accept draft payment. I called JEC twice and spoke to three people, including a manager (who claimed to be powerless to do anything) in order to explain that there was a mistake in payment. I wasn't just writing bad checks. I wasn't some irresponsible scrub. Rather, the site defaulted to a non-existent account, and I immediately rectified the error. I asked if this $30 returned check fee could be removed (I still don't see how there could be a return fee on an account that DOES NOT EXIST). I was met with an emphatic, "No". They would not remove it. They treat customers like garbage. Even responsible ones who pay on time. And they WILL NOT consider mitigating circumstances. JEC's monopoly should be broken up.

I live in the area off of Farmers Bridge road and Pine Needle road area in Hephzibah Burke county . I work at the mall in the food court and have served coffee to several of the great linemen that are here helping out Augusta after Helene hurricane. Several of the linemen informed me that they were kicked out of our area by Jefferson electric company!!! After hearing that information from the lineman I went down to Jefferson electric today 10-9-2024 to ask them about any update on our power restoration. We were told NO UPDATES!! And they have no clue when power will be restored !!! We are on day 13 with no power . I have grown up in Florida and have dealt with over 20 hurricanes and no power before . But I have never heard of an electric company that does not know when they can restore power or give any updates or be without power for almost 2 weeks . When I spoke to the woman at the electric company and told her about linemen being kicked out of our area by Jefferson company she laughed and said “oh we have about 600 people from other places helping them” I am not entirely sure if that is even true . I am very grateful to have my dad up here with me which he is in the same area as me. But he has spent well over $ 5,000 just to get generators for himself and myself also and helping with gas to fill up the generators . My dad is also a retired man and lives on a fixed income . The area we live in is mostly retired people or families with low income. There are some people in our area that have medical equipment that is used with power that they cannot use . Jefferson electric needs to be put on the news maybe they will hurry with the restorations or at least give us people any kind of updates on when our community will have power!!!!!
