Excellent fishing trip! Captain Josh put my 12 yr old son on his first ever tarpon and they landed it! Josh was a great captain. He’s very knowledgeable, teaching about the fish and techniques he uses as we fished. We caught 3 tarpon and a handful of shark on our trip. So much fun! Great day on the water and would definitely book again!

We had an incredible trip this weekend with Josh Cook of Georgia Sport Fishing Charters. From the start, communication was excellent—we knew exactly what to expect, what was included, and what we needed to bring. Josh was professional, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the sport and helping his clients succeed. Everyone in our group had a great time and walked away with new skills and great memories. I’ve been on other charters in the area before, but this was my first with Georgia Sport Fishing Charters—and it won’t be my last. This is the team we’ll be booking with from now on. Josh put us on tarpon early in the morning, and we stayed with them for hours. We landed three tarpon in just a few hours—an incredible experience, especially considering how elusive these fish can be. It’s clear Josh and his team have put in the time to really master their craft. Overall, a 5-star experience in every way. Highly recommended!

My family of 5 had a great time with Captain Josh of Georgia Sport fishing Charters. We caught over 5 different species of fish including a red snapper and a shark. Captain Josh was very knowledgeable and personable, taking the time to learn and remember all of our names. Once he knew Barracuda was on one of my kids bucket list of fish to catch, we changed strategies to target them. Not only did my son catch one, we ended up landing 3 of them! I would highly recommend the Captain Josh and Georgia Sport Fishing Charters and next time hopefully we can make it for the Tarpon run!

Georgia Sport Fishing Charters planned and executed the most amazing day on the water for our family, including elementary school age boys. Captain Josh kept us all engaged and entertained all day. He was incredibly knowledgeable, safe and FUN! Despite weather and water elements that made his job more challenging, he found and taught us how to successfully fish 9 bull reds (including several 40”+), a wide range of sharks and 2 sting rays! We’ve done several charters and this one stands out as extra special. Could not recommend Georgia Sport Fishing Charters and Captain Josh more!

Had a great time with Captain Josh today. It was the first time my two boys got to do some real fishing and Captain Josh did not disappoint. The boys had a blast helping bait hooks and reeling in some Sharks! Captain Josh went out of his way to teach the boys not only how to fish but also all about the sharks. We are looking forward to coming back again!
