Food Lion

June 10 8:00pm cashier on lane 1 was spraying her lane belt with sanitizer and it was wet so I put my 2 items on a small spot that’s dry. She rings up her customer and then when my items come rolling down the belt she flings them backwards so she can spray the little dry spot. No she did not move them nicely, she aggressively threw them down the lane belt in a frustrated manner. I picked up my stuff, put it on a random place and then walked out, that was the most disgusting behavior I’ve ever dealt with at a grocery store. I go to this food lion multiple times a week but I won’t be back. If you go there in the evening watch out, the staff is terrible and they don’t care about being rude, it’s obvious they want to be as terrible as possible. If they are terrible, less people will come in. They got it figured out. I won’t be back, hostile employees, they shouldn’t be working in customer service if they have anger management issues

I enjoy this store, they normally always have things in stock... I just can't stand when I go (doesn't matter the time of day) and they have one register open... They should add self checkout (maybe only 1-3) so when they don't have the ability to open more than one register, those who are in a rush can use self checkout. I really can't say anything else bad about it. Produce always seems fresh, they never leave a million carts in the parking lot like Walmart, everyone is always friendly. They have great prices - sometimes even better than Walmart. I am thankful it's only a few miles down the road from where I live. I frequent it multiple times a week.

I'm updating my rating of Food Lion from three stars to four stars. I've been shopping there more often in the past year and I realize that there are some items that I only purchase there instead of Publix where I do the majority of my shopping. Food Lion has the best prices for frozen pizza, coffee pods, ice cream, and a few other essentials. And I really like their own brand large thin crust frozen pizza. And of particular importance, they have great gourmet chocolate chunk cookies!

I have been a regular customer at Food Lion for quite some time, but my recent visits have left me quite disappointed. The cashiers often seem to have an attitude, which makes the shopping experience uncomfortable. Instead of being friendly and engaging, many of them are either on their phones or appear disinterested in assisting customers. It feels like they act privileged and don't appreciate the people who are supporting their business. I hope management takes notice and provides better training on customer service. I would love to see a more positive atmosphere where customers feel valued rather than like an inconvenience. Until then, I may need to consider shopping elsewhere.

Very reasonable/ competitive prices. I was surprised with the range of general merchandise products available. Will definitely visit again.
