I stayed at this hotel several years ago. I'm happy that the experience has not changed and this hotel will continue to be my go-to in the CSRA. The room was fine, but what set this hotel apart was the little things. The nice staff that greeted my kiddo and chatted with her, the breakfast that had non-pork sausage, the clean (and warm.. though that might have been the 100F+ days) pool. This is a great hotel close to shops and restaurants and not too far from downtown Augusta and North Augusta.

My wife just had a baby 2 1/2 months early and we wanted to stay close to the hospital while our baby is in the NICU. My mother in law got my wife and I the room. It didn't come with a couch like she thought, in case my wife needed her mom. I read online that oatmeal can help with breast milk so I woke up early to make some for my wife. The lady making breakfast, Miss Ana S or Ava S, was so rude to me. She came out of the food prep area aggressively telling me breakfast wasn't ready and that I had to wait. I told her I was just looking for a bowl since I already had an oatmeal packet and the coffee with the hot water is 24/7. With bowls in her hand she told me, "I just told you breakfast wasn't ready, don't you see me getting things ready.". She literally could have just handed me a bowl and I would have gone my way, but she just wanted to have a rude attitude, huffing and puffing loud enough for people to hear her. It was literally 5 minutes till breakfast, people were already starting a line, so I didn't think it was that crazy for me to look for a bowl, the way she was behaving was entirely unnecessary. I went up to my room, dropped off the oatmeal and went back downstairs to get breakfast. She was still being rude, huffing and puffing and looking at the guests crazy for them to move out of her way. She needs to leave that attitude at home and get some customer service training. I got off a 12 hour work shift on June 29th and took my wife straight to the hospital. I spent 2 whole days in my work clothes before someone brought me clean clothes to shower and change, didn't leave the hospital till July 5th, doing everything I could to take care of my wife pre and post partum, I've had little to no sleep, all I wanted was some good sleep in a nice bed and to feed my wife some breakfast. The room was nice, there was a dead roach in the corner of the shower, Ana S. or Ava S. killed the staff customer service, breakfast wasn't even that good. I was planning on stayi...

The staff was attentive and accommodating. The breakfast was average. Would have been better with real eggs and the times need to be clear; Sat.-Sun. 7 - 9:30, M-F 6 -8:30. Not sure if that's correct, but that is the time the attendant actually started and stopped. Overall it was a great stay.

Spent two nights here. Place was clean and usual Marriott amenities and service. My one problem was the thermostat has a motion sensor in it and will shut off the AC if it doesn’t sense movement after so long. Woke up the first night in a sweat as the ac had cut off at some point. When I asked about this at the front desk they actually sent someone up to disable this and let the ac run all night. Props to them for this but this is a bad setup in general in Augusta in the heat.

These folks are great. I had to move from another (bad) hotel at last minute. Front desk was fabulous. Hotel is clean, well run, and kind staff. Highly recommend.
