Carolina Blue Crabs & Shrimps

This was my first time here and I’ll be back to give it another try. The fried fish I ordered was good but a lil salty. I didn’t really care for the hush puppies they were over cooked on the outside but okay on the inside. The fries were old and the shrimp I think I need to try a different way. I had them boiled and they seemed over cooked. The gentleman that helped me was very kind and patient with me in my having to decide what I wanted to try. So A+ on customer service.

Everything is cooked to perfection with out of this world real Gullah flavor and seasoning. Good prices and grounded portions give you a bang for your buck. Always pleasant and kind service delivered. Offering select variety of seafood. They cook your order if you so desire. Treat yourself to this for real low country cuisine, you will thank yourself.

Don’t let the appearance discourages you. Stopped by in the way home from Atlanta to Augusta, wanted some live blue crabs or oysters but they were out of crabs & oysters out of season. Instead I ordered 1 lb of shrimps, fried garlic-butter flavor. Got 25 fried large shrimps for just under $20. They were the best fried shrimps I’ve had since Hawaii’s coconut shrimps & garlic shrimps. Very lightly battered as you can see from the photo. Update - bought 4 dozens of steamed male blue crabs. They use JO spices. So good. Check their FB page for specials

Amazing experience meeting some great down to earth individuals. The seafood is fresh and sells at a reasonable price. 10 out 10. They sell crablegs on Thursdays and I will be there faithfully for their oysters.

Soooo today was my first time here and it’s still in the air if it’ll be my last. I’ll start with the fried shrimp. As you can see from the pictures, the entire breading came off. I’m from Savannah so seafood is what we do. If I do return, I will never order the fried shrimp again. Moving right along to the garlic butter shrimp. Just because you put a whole bunch of garlic out of a jar on top does not mean it is good. The shrimp were over cooked and flavorless, except for the big pieces of garlic of course. I guess you can say I saved the best for last. The garlic crabs were full thankfully but they also had garlic all over them and that’s all I tasted. Absolutely nothing was seasoned. I think I’ll be waiting a little while to return. And to the people that were in there with me for the first time, I hope y’all’s food was better than mine.
