Just called to try and set an appointment and the the gentleman who answered was dismissive and rude..which made me do the same! First thing he said was I don’t know when we can get you in, and next thing was why aren’t you going to the Va? Like excuse me. I then said never mind, I don’t want the services anymore (because of his energy) and I hang up. I call back and ask to speak with someone else, he says there isn’t just his boss and she’s on the phone, I’ll take your number and name, then the phone hangs up..(he then hung up on me) so not professional. I then call back and say did you hang up on me, I thought you were getting my information, he then starts to go back and forth with me about who hung up on who. Who’s the professional here. Also you have no clue my issue I could be suicidal but your dismissal of my mental was disgusting and disappointing. You need to know how to deal with VETERANS WITH MENTAL ILLNESS OR HOW ABOUT NOT WORK AT A VETERANS COUNSELING CENTER FOR VETS SIR

As an enthusiastic young man who enlisted in 1967 ( expecting to serve John Wayne), I always thought I would regret the 4 long years I spent chipping paint and scrubbing toilets for "lifers" who didn't always have the decency to flush. I did until I received the care and respect of the competent professionals at the VA medical center in Augusta.

Setting up an appointment, at Charlie Norwood. The lady, who didn't identify herself, was incredibly rude and dismissive, before transferring me to a different department without explanation. Why is my every interaction with this facility always has some sort of negative response? It has almost always started after I give a brief explanation of why I am calling!

Caitlin is very transparent and resourceful! Appreciate the front staff as well. Always pleasant in person and via phone.

Simply amazing. If you are a Veteran in crisis or just need some help with counseling or services in the area this is the place to be. Friendly and professional staff who are always willing to help no matter the situation.
