Review of Augusta Special Events [ASE] Rental I would give the vendor a rating of 1 star. The fees for the rental furniture were fair and competitive but the behavior of the owner- manager was atrocious!! When I first visited the store on a Saturday morning I talked with the assistant [Tyler, a decent gentle man] and listed the items to be rented. I mentioned that we would like the furniture to be delivered on a Saturday morning and picked up on Sunday around midnight after the wedding reception. Weeks later I called to make a few changes to the order and told the gentleman [named John with a friendly voice] who answered the phone that I would like furniture pickup on Monday morning instead of Sunday midnight. He confirmed after talking to boss, Mr. Dudley. On Saturday, the day one of the event Mr. Dudley came to deliver goods on time [10 am] but delivered a lecture that he had to sacrifice some family business to accommodate the early delivery, but that the dismantling/ pickup has to be on Sunday night starting at 11pm on the dot. I tried to tell him we already discussed the Monday pickup arrangement with his office and the time as well as the revised bill was agreed upon with his acquiescence per his office staff. He refused to listen and accused me of interrupting him and threatened to stop the delivery and call police if I continue to talk to him. He became agitated, and in an abusive condescending style [with a distinct disdain and undertone of racism towards Asian Americans] told me he doesn’t want to see or talk to me anymore. Later that evening during serving dinner our wedding planner and catering staff noticed that 100 pieces each of forks and spoons ordered from ASE were not delivered and we had to rush to procure them from alternate source. Mr. Dudley later claimed those were delivered and we just missed them [unverifiable to us]. His behavior next day, the wedding and reception day, was more outrageous and atrocious! He showed up at the venue in t...

Good price for chair rentals but will never do business here again. I'm sorry but if you're going to be in the customer service industry then you should at the very least greet your customers, be polite and maybe even pretend to be interested in their questions. These guys were none of that. I felt very unwelcome there. When I would ask a question they would talk while walking away. One guy even walked right passed me as I said "good morning". Then turns around with "are you returning chairs?". Which I replied "oh yeah, sorry didn't realize you were helping me because you walked right passed me and when I said good morning you didn't say anything". To which he then replied "so are you returning chairs?" Unbelievable! All 3 of the guys I dealt with were just very short, not friendly, and just did not make me feel like a valued customer. I do not recommend this company.

I just called and noooooooo I felt the bad energy thru the phone and I thought eh I just woke up maybe I’m tired lol! Then I said, let me go and check out the review and lo and behold. My energy detector was right I’m not doing business with these people I just checked reviews and they shouldn’t be in business.

One of the guys was very rude when I spoke to him in regards to my cancellation but after speaking with a guy name Jeff ( I believe is the owner) my attitude changed. He was very understanding. Even after the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in my life, I won’t leave a bad review because my issue was resolved.

Rude beyond belief. Go anywhere other than here. The gentleman called me to solicit for my business. When I advised him that I received several quotes from other vendors, he asked who were his competitors. I advise him that they were locals. He interjected with, "Party In A Tent?" I replied, "Yes, they're one of the quotes." In turn, he replied with a tone of displeasure, "Well good luck with that!" and disconnected (hung up). Either it's me or I find his customer service etiquette atrocious. Good luck during your search for a deserving vendor Ma'am. And hopefully my post will enlighten this business owner to take action with his employee. I'm new to this area and hope this isn't the norm. If only Google would allow a ZERO.
