My wife and I went to the annual Christmas tree lighting downtown on the Alley. The downtown area was already decorated for Christmas. Fun time, lots of vendors and even ran into some friends.

This another small southern town whose residents are rebuilding and promoting. Main street runs through the heart of the city, with outdoor seating along most of the streets. The city loses much of its green as winter takes over, but in the spring the green of the trees will create the obvious charm of the city. The hotel Aiken is going through a rebuilding, which if its keeps its original design will increase its historical contribution to the city. Its not a big city but you will need more than one day to discover everything that it has to offer...We will be going back to discover more of its charm.
