I have been going to Aiken Dermatology for almost a year.I have paid out of pocket because they did not accept my insurance. Last month I went there and my “office visit” was $84.00 and my shaved biopsy was $148.80. This time just to have one spot “frozen” they charged $110.40 and an “office visit” of $136.00. When I questioned the cost they said “office visits” change with the circumstance. When I asked them to explain it I couldn’t get a straight answer. I thought an office visit was an office visit basically just to walk through the door and a procedure was what is needed done and a payment based off of what they did. This is very confusing. I was told they would give me paper work to submit to my insurance company but they could not give it to me today I would have to wait to get it in the mail. Needless to say they have never given me such paperwork. Be “very careful” and check their costs before allowing them to do anything. The only reason I gave 1 star is because I like the practitioner I was seeing. And I couldn’t post if I didn’t give at least 1 star. “Be very careful”!

I have been using Aiken Dermatology for years, going once a year. I was not informed Dr. Fitch had left the practice and was assigned to the PA, but continued to go for my yearly checks for skin cancer and any other issues. This year, our insurance changed and I presented my card to the front desk. Several minutes later they returned my card to me. I asked if everything was good and was told yes. I was seen by the PA and had numerous spots treated and one removed to biopsy( which turned out ok). One month later I returned for my recheck and was told I owed over $1,000 from my previous visit. They did not carry my insurance. They said,”I can’t believe we allowed you to leave without paying”.I can’t believe they didn’t inform me before the procedures were done Had I been told before my exam, I would have cancelled. They admitted they had made a mistake by not informing me and knocked off some of the bill, but I had to come out of pocket for quite a lot.The PA is also leaving the practice so I guess it’s a good time for a change. Edit- 21 days after my payment was made, I received a bill marked unpaid.

Now Im thoroughly mad. I’m going to file a complaint with the BBB because this is ridiculous. Y’all deleted my last review, but I have evidence of it in my google history. I made an appointment here, called in advance before I was on my way, and they said I was not in the system, I never made an appointment there and rushed me off the phone. So why would I go there if I was told I had no appointment? I left a review saying I better not receive a no show fee in the mail, and guess what? I did, and now I owe $50. Huh? How many people do you scam this way? I’m not paying it. I will not tolerate this. Y’all are shady.

I had been to 4 different doctors in less than one week. Not one of them was able to provide any relief or even treatment other than antibiotics which weren’t helping. Out of desperation I decided to reach out one last time and literally the same day they saw me I was properly diagnosed, treated and feeling 100x better. I’m so grateful, will definitely be using them in the future.

Dr Fitch was very rude and not professional in the way she spoke to me. She came in the room and before introducing herself or saying hi she demanded I put a mask on and said “put your mask on right now.” I said I don’t have one and I wasn’t told to wear one in the waiting room the entire 20 minutes I was there. She proceeded to be rude and tell me it was mandatory by law and have an attitude about it instead of just nicely asking. It was the way she approached the situation which will make me not be returning. She also did not even take the time to speak to my daughter who was being seen she diagnosed her before even sitting down and spent a total of one minute in there. I would also like to add two ladies at the front inside the cubical front desk area were not wearing masks so I recommend she takes a look at her own office and their professionalism before speaking to others on what they should do.
